Data-Driven Strategic Partner
Sindy Bolaños-Sacoman is a strategic partner to many Native American Tribal entities, municipalities, and state, federal, and non-governmental organizations. With more than 20 years experience of mixed-methods program evaluation, she is a successful grant writer with proven results. Her work has also helped develop data-driven community- and state-level prevention and treatment programs.
She has obtained local, state, and federal funding to increase prevention services, direct services, environmental services, treatment, training, capacity-building, Medication Assisted Treatment services, and policy change.
I have worked with Sindy on a variety of projects focusing on mental and behavioral health for American Indian populations and tribal communities. Over the years, Sindy has gained the trust of the communities we work with, which has significantly contributed to successful outcomes. Sindy’s knowledge and experience are top-notch. I thoroughly enjoy working with Sindy because she is committed to ensuring her clients get an outstanding product.

Sindy Sacoman has an invaluable expertise with evaluation, and it was an absolute pleasure to work with her on a federal discretionary grant. Sindy's exceptional knowledge, thorough dedication, and consistent reliability contributed to the absolute successes of the grant, and I would definitely recommend her services.

How Evaluation Works
Key questions answered for clients:
- What value does the program bring?
- Is the program cost-effective?
- Can we correlate the data to the outcomes to show positive results?
Key questions asked (in process):
- Are we meeting the outcomes we originally set out to meet?
- How close are the deliverables to what was originally promised?
I have come to depend on Sindy's work ethic, specific skills around organization, effective and efficient data management, timely report writing and submission, and overall willingness to support whatever is necessary to ensure the job is accomplished. Plus, she does this with a welcome sense of humor and collegiality that is not easily found in collaborators. She has become indispensable to me during our three collaborations, so quite frankly, I would have to think hard about whether I would do a project without her!
